May 4-26, 2019

BYOB Opening Reception
Saturday, May 4, 7-10pm

We're lucky to have collaborated with Chicago-based (via Houston, TX) artist Blake Jones on several projects over the last couple years. Blake's illustrative style draws on a huge range of influences from comics to abstract art, but is always consistently colorful, approachable and, well, cute.

A prolific sketchbook user, Blake is rarely seen without a book full of doodles and character studies....for this exhibit we've asked Blake to open up his sketchbooks and share the love in an explosion of wonderful, affordable art!

Join us the evening of Saturday, May 4, 7-10pm for the opening reception. We'll have music by DJ Sean Doe, plus complimentary snacks and soft drinks...and if you'd like to BYOB, we're just across the street from the wonderful Beermiscous!

Blake will be in attendance at the opening reception so please do stop by and say hello.

Exhibit continues through May 26, 2019.

Luke Chueh Signing

This March we welcome back one of our favorite artists, Los Angeles-based Luke Chueh, for his third solo exhibit at Rotofugi Gallery.

Employing minimal color schemes, simple animal characters and a seemingly endless list of ill-fated situations, Chueh stylistically balances cute with brute, walking the fine line between comedy and tragedy. Chueh's work has been featured in contemporary art galleries around the world, and reinterpreted as collectible and limited edition vinyl toys.

Join us the evening of Saturday, March 2, 7-10pm for the opening reception. We'll have music by DJ Sean Doe, plus complimentary snacks and soft drinks...and if you'd like to BYOB, we're just across the street from the wonderful Beermiscous!

Luke will be in attendance at the opening, and signing for fans from 7pm until 8:30pm. We'll have a selection of Luke's vinyl figures, produced by Munky King, available for purchase.

February Exhibit: Vivian Le

Open Heart Charcuterie
New Works by Vivian Le
February 2-24, 2019

BYOB Opening Reception
Saturday, February 2, 7-10pm

Every once in awhile an artist comes across our radar and just takes our breath away. That's what happened the first time we encountered the work of Chicago-based Vivian Le when we first had her work as part of our Locals Only exhibit last year.

Her striking imagery, primarily children and dolls, hits hard. Seeking to explore her "fascination with how history and contemporary media continue to portray children in art as romantic symbols," Le creates a world that is fascinating and, at times, horrifying but always beautiful.

Join us the evening of Saturday, February 2, 7-10pm for the opening reception of Open Heart Charcuterie. We'll have music by DJ Sean Doe, plus complimentary snacks and soft drinks. If you'd like to BYOB, we're just across the street from the wonderful Beermiscous!

Exhibit continues through February 24, 2019.
