New Works by Shawnimals
August 15-September 13, 2020
Longtime Rotofugi friend and collaborator Shawnimals is back in August with an all new exhibit of paintings based on his “All Shapes” motif. They're simple and fun, yet all about friends, community, celebrating and accepting our differences, and remembering that we really do need each other. In short, be kind because it takes all shapes!
While we will be open for viewing on Saturday the 15th, 10am-6pm, we will not be holding an opening reception so make sure to sign up for our gallery previews email list at http://previews.rotofugi.com for first notice when works are available to purchase.
New Works by Mike Bell
July 18-August 9, 2020
Join us July 18-August 9 for all new works by New Jersey-based painter Mike Bell like this amazing Astroboy painting! We've been in love with Mike's wonderfully tight pieces drawn from pop culture, robots, classic horror and more for years and are excited to have him back in the gallery!

Our retail location in Chicago is now open to the public (as of Friday, June 12)...it’s been a long, strange few months since we last had the pleasure of seeing our friends at the store and we’re excited (and honestly a little nervous) to be back!
For now we will be operating on a slightly revised schedule, 10am-6pm, seven days a week.
Per City of Chicago regulation, you must wear a face covering to enter the store. If you do not have one, we have disposable masks available for you along with hand sanitizer and, if you’d like, gloves. Contactless payment via Paypal is also available.
Last but not least, we will continue to offer curbside pickups. Just place your order at http://rotofugi.com and choose Pickup from the shipping options. When you’re outside just give us a call at tel:773-868-3308 and we’ll bring your purchase to you!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this unprecedented time!

Join us through July 12 for all new works from Chicago-based artist David "Netherland" van Alphen, best known for his retro collage pieces and a beautiful 70s influenced color palette. We’ve had several exhibits of David’s work over the years (and he was also our Gallery Director for a good while) but we never get tired of his tight compositions and truly affordable works.

New Works by Egoproof
May 16-June 7, 2020
Online Exhibit Launch
Saturday, May 16, 10am Central Time
Late last year I started noticing some interesting images show up in my social media feeds. The striking images showed what looked like advertising posters and wheat-pasted signs, usually with a positive message, featuring simple white on red or red on white text.
It turned out to be a new project by some old friends of Rotofugi. Rather than spoil their secret fun, let's just say that they are currently based in Spain and are known to move around quite a bit.
This month we're featuring a new exhibit of prints by these old friends and their new project, Egoproof. In a world that feels increasingly divided and chaotic, Egoproof is spreading a message of love, hope and positivity — and we all need those things today more than ever.
A portion of the exhibit will benefit Hope For The Day®, a Chicago-based non-profit empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education. Through action, education, and outreach they aim to lead the global conversation on proactive prevention in order to create a cultural shift on how mental health is treated in our communities. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we're excited to be partnering with HFTD to amplify their important message, even a little bit.
Join us at http://gallery.rotofugi.com on Saturday, May 16 at 10am Central Time to view and order prints.

Note: Our gallery in Chicago is closed to the public through May 31, 2020 by order of the governor of Illinois, and currently plans are for this exhibit to remain online only, though we've been known to change our minds! Stay safe.
