Visitors From Another World
New Works by Three Chicago Artists
Ben Stevens, Tony Rabit and Will Rimel
June 2-July 2, 2017
BYOB Opening Reception, Friday, June 2, 7-10pm
We're kicking off our summer exhibit schedule with something near and dear to us...Chicago artists! We'll be featuring three of them in our newest exhibit opening on Friday, June 2nd.
Ben Stevens first caught our attention via his eye-catching instagram posts and animations and now we're hooked on his super detailed otherworldly character paintings. Amazing plant, flower and skeletal creatures that somehow manage to be both creepy and adorable...yes, please.
Tony Rabit is a name that's probably a little more familiar to our guests having previously exhibited his amazingly Cute with a capital C works in our gallery twice before! We're excited to have Tony back with a new series of digital works on paper based on imaginary whimsical structures.
Will Rimel is a relatively recent transplant to the Chicago area, but very well known to us as he also serves as the Rotofugi Gallery Assistant. That said, no nepotism here, Will's an amazing sculptor and toy customizer and will surely bring a powerful funky vibe to the exhibit! Check out his super custom Luna in our most recent exhibit to get a feel for his wonderful style.
Join us for the BYOB opening reception, Friday, June 2, 7-10pm for snacks and music by DJ Sean Doe. All three artists will be in attendance.
Sales for this exhibit begin when we open at 11am on opening day, and via email to our previews list starting at 2pm (central time) that afternoon (sign up here).
The exhibit continues through July 2.

Our Chicago store will be temporarily closed for remodeling starting Monday, May 1, 2017.
We’re making some changes to our layout, removing some shelving, and adding some new stuff, including starting work on our new dedicated event space that will be available for private parties, community events and more when we’re finished.
We will re-open on Friday, May 5 at 7pm for the opening reception of new exhibits by Michael Slack and the Luna Custom Show. If we are able to re-open sooner we’ll let you know!
NOTE: WE WILL STILL BE OPEN THIS WEEKEND!
Please come out and check out the final weekend of the Tokidoki pop-up and your chance to enter our Instagram contest to win prizes from Tokidoki and Ju-Ju-Be!
Thanks for your understanding.
