So, I kind of have this theory that some things are better left up to the experts, and who better to descripe this lovely issue of Juxtapoz, but the fine folks at Juxtapoze... so here is their description...

Juxtapoz Magazine March 2011 Newsstand Cover #122

For the March 2011 issue of Juxtapoz, we feature one of the most influential poster artists of the 20th century, Black Panther Emory Douglas. We catch up with the artist about what he doing today, his origins with the Black Panthers, and being the Minister of Culture.

In March, we also sit down with Gus Van Sant in his Portland, Oregon apartment and discuss Dogme 95, creating films on your own terms, and his series of photographs that he has built over the years. We round out the issue with Philadelphia-based fine artist Alex Lukas, Los Angeles-based Jo Jackson, and a photo essay with skateboard photographer and world traveler, Joe Brook.
